The lavish gown was accentuated with a feathered floral cape that draped to the floor. Lopez finished her look with a velvet hair bow the same color as her overall outfit. Although various media outlets praised the 54-year-old’s look, some people felt differently.

Most people made comments that highlighted Lopez’s age. In this regard, one person stated: “Sorry to say […] but she looks old.” Another said: “I don’t like the look, and she looks elderly.”

As a juxtaposition to society’s narrative when it comes to seeing women as less desirable as they age, Lopez divulged, “People have realized that women just get sexier as they get older. […] All of that is very beautiful and attractive, and not just physically, but on the inside.”

Jennifer Lopez also made it clear she has no plans of retiring any time soon and said she would work for as long as she sees fit, citing that boundaries, like age, don’t exist for her.
