Up Close and Personal with the Enchanting World of Wild Creatures!
The untamed magnificence of wild animals has an irresistible draw.
While we usually observe them from a safe distance, the opportunity to get closer to these intriguing creatures is an otherworldly experience.
Enter the renowned Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, an animal refuge hidden outside the vivid landscapes of Colorado Springs, where staff employees have the rare luxury of continually being exposed to the enthralling world of wolves. What’s more, this sanctuary allows visitors to engage with these gorgeous beasts and provides them with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pet and snuggle with them! Kekoa, whose name means “brave one” in Hawaiian, is an intriguing resident of this sanctuary. Kekoa was born and lovingly raised within the refuge’s walls.
Despite his enormous size, this gentle giant has a kind and accessible disposition, which makes him especially like spending time with humans, particularly a woman named Danielle.
The unusual friendship between Danielle and Kekoa has piqued many people’s interest. Seeing them play and snuggle is incredible, especially given their significant size differences.
Kekoa is an impressive sight, weighing 115 pounds and standing nearly 7 feet tall when he lays his front paws on someone’s shoulders.
A video of the two’s endearing connection has gone viral, and when you thought it couldn’t get much better, another wolf called Sakara joins in for some snuggle time!
According to the sanctuary’s specialists, Kekoa’s extraordinary sociability results from being well-socialized from a young age. He has a natural affinity for human company due to being nurtured and bottle-fed by people since birth. However, it is critical to recognize that this does not imply domestication or tameness.
Kekoa is still a wild animal at heart, as evidenced by his behavior with his sister, reminiscent of wild wolves. A truly wild wolf in its natural environment would not act similarly.
